Seven Reasons to Choose Power Engineering Education at SUSU: THE BEST PLACE TO LEARN AUTHENITIC RUSSIAN CULTURE AND LANGUAGE

Chelyabinsk is a city of diversity: industrial landscapes and the old Russian and Cossacks authentic villages; the magnificent Ural mountains and the great Kazakh steppe just four hours away. Nature furnished our region with iron, coal, gold, silver and other resources.  People – Russians, Bashkir, Tatar, Kazakhs – made the city multiethnic, multicultural and vibrant. Superhot meteorite plowing through the atmosphere in February, 2013 made it famous.  SUSU students are provided ample opportunity for experiencing authentic Russian culture, while visiting local ethnic villages, balancing snowboards or practicing ski on the velvety slopes of the Urals.

We teach basic Russian to all international students enrolled on Energy Programs.  SUSU Sociocultural Adaptation Center is proud of its Russian Speaking Club where students are given the opportunity to improve their Russian language proficiency while discussing the most exciting challenges of contemporary society. SUSU is one of the universities to have launched the Pushkin Institute Center.  There are several projects the Pushkin Institute Center has developed to help international students  sharpen their skills of Russian language and gain deeper insight into the Russian culture – International Online Olympiad on Russian as a Foreign language,  Best Projects Competition “Russian language and digital technologies”, Contest of Russian calligraphy. They also offer an exciting range of General/Professional Russian courses for all levels or TORFL (the Test of Russian as a Foreign Language) preparation. You may take TORFL on the premises of the university at SUSU TORFL Testing Center and get your international certificate.
