We have created a solid platform for practically oriented experimental work in cutting-edge research laboratories, which often involves international expertise and allows the university to meet the unique needs of the local community as well as to benefit society in general.
Power Engineering Faculty runs more than 20 labs, which provide the opportunity to operate and maintain the equipment from the leading manufacturers in the field:
Siemens, ABB, Control techniques, Schneider Electric, Omron, Danfoss, Grundfos (the world’s largest pump manufacturer), Vaillant (a global market leader in heating, ventilation and air-conditioning technologies), Reflex (a global manufacturer of heating and cooling equipment).
The university-level labs are also available for our students:
- SUSU supercomputer lab, considered to be the 11th most powerful supercomputer lab of the CIS countries;
- EMERSON Delta-V Plantweb lab, – adistributed control system, launched by SUSU in cooperation with EMERSON (the largest American automation solutions company, listed in Fortune-500) in 2011;
- International Center for Renewable Energy – a center of excellence for cutting-edge research work in renewable energy
